Digital Audio Recording
The Digital Audio Recording major is offered Session 1 only.
Digital Audio Recording students will record and mix audio they capture at camp in controlled and “live” settings.
They will learn audio recording theory, miking technique, layering sound, outputting sound, rhythm tracks and more. Students will need to have an enthusiasm for music and computers. Daily work will build as students develop a working knowledge of the software and hardware required to record & mix audio.
- All applicants must have attended at least one prior year of Sugarloaf Camp in any major.
- No experience is required but students should be capable with computers and recording software and mature enough to handle working alone and within a group.
- Students will be working with expensive equipment including microphones, laptop computers and monitors.
SPECIAL NOTE: The total fee for Digital Audio Recording is $505, which includes an extra $25 fee to cover equipment costs.
